Former Air Jockey from Evanston Gets Published in the Sun-Times

Mark Foisy, a Veteran for Kerry from Evanston, recently got published in the Sun-Times. Congratulations Mark!

A Terrifying Waste

The standard White House response to criticism of the war in Iraq is to stand in the bully pulpit and repeatedly declare how important winning the war on terror is for our nation.

Winning the war on terror is vital to our nation. However:

*Saddam Hussein and Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, Saddam has never been involved in international terrorism, didn't have weapons of mass destruction, and was ideologically opposed to Osama bin Laden's drive for Islamic rule.

*With our military tied up in Iraq, there's no one left to fight the real war on terror -- until we reinstate the draft. Eighteen- to 25-year-olds, take note.

*The cost of the Iraq war is approaching $200 billion. The administration now is asking for another $25 billion, while the real war remains underfunded.

*The war in Iraq is undermining international goodwill with our allies. That goodwill is crucial to winning the war on terror.

The first step to victory in the war on terror is getting out of Iraq.
